The miniaturisation of hand-held medical devices gives patients more freedom and greater comfort. In contrast to in-patient treatment, they are no longer confined to the hospital bed, but can move around in their familiar surroundings. Monitoring and care are now mobile, directly on the patient's body - unobtrusively and without annoying emissions.
Typical applications for mobile medical technology include vacuum wound care (VAC therapy / NPWT), treatment of sleep apnoea, mobile respiratory gas monitoring and many other areas of medical gas analysis.
Our new miniature diaphragm pump SP 240 EC-LC-SO ("sound optimised") is ideally suited for these mobile applications. The pump was developed under strict specifications to reduce operating sound and vibration levels to an absolute minimum. Thanks to its patented sound dampening, it achieves a whisper-quiet <35 dB(A) at a distance of 50cm. This roughly corresponds to the sound level of a bedroom at night - an important prerequisite for enabling patients to sleep soundly.
With a housing width of only 13 mm, the pump can be installed in even the smallest hand-held devices. The particularly low current consumption of 45 to max. 80 mA enables long battery run times or a reduction of the necessary battery size. The pump is also excellently suited for stationary devices and all applications carried out in particularly sound-sensitive environments.
